The HUB Jorhat is an initiative of the Bosco Institute, Jorhat. The Hub Jorhat is established to create an entrepreneurial eco-system in the north east region, to identify and train potential entrepreneurs and to enhance the competencies of Social organisations/NGOs to be ever more efficient and effective in their work with communities.
The last decade has seen an upsurge in number of social organisations formed with the motto of doing good for the community and many of them have been doing commendable work.
However, the lack of resources has been a major hindrance in the scaling up and expansion of the work and of the organisations. Many organisations, with wonderful ideas, have limited knowledge on raising funds and attracting investments. There is also the danger of organizations abandoning their core thrust areas and taking up any project for which funds are available.
Considering this situation, The HUB Jorhat is organizing a workshop on “Fund Raising” for Not-for-Profit organizations. The workshop will deal with:
- Fundraising strategies.
- Individual fundraising – types, roadmap, advantages and disadvantages
- Fundamentals of direct marketing, approach and its benefits.
- Crowd funding and Funding Agencies
- CSR Fundraising
