Purpose of the Programme:

The educated and socially motivated young people in the Northeast region receive online incubation training from The Hub Jorhat as incubatees for training, mentoring, and guidance in the process of developing their own enterprises/initiatives under the social incubation programme known as ‘ne-vent’.

Through this programme young people gets the opportunity to learn skills for Social Entrepreneurship and Management to establish or improve their own Business Enterprise or NGO. The Social Enterprises will develop innovative solutions for social and ecological problems of the region.

The focus of the third immersion was on developing business models; understanding the various elements connected and present in the business model. Although each one of us has an idea or is currently running a business, we are, at most times, unable to visualize or gather information on why our business is failing or does not show productive results even with the amount of dedication.

The business model guides and assists users in creating a framework; it is a strategic management template used for developing new business models and documenting existing ones. More like a tool to visualize the building blocks that includes market, value proposition, key partners & resources and finance.

After which, the incubates are to identify and compile lists of assumptions about their created model; creating a plan to validate assumptions through interactions with stakeholders and data collection. Validating assumptions and creating alternative business models based on assumptions being validated will help the users of the Business model to validate and bring out the best workable business model. The tested assumptions will be presented and shared during the upcoming immersion.

The fourth immersion is scheduled for 23th to 27th August 2021. The Hub team is looking forward to continuous and better coordination for the success for the upcoming immersion!
